My Incredible Experience with Dr. Pearson
I am currently 8 days post-op from my subnasal lip lift with Dr. Pearson, and I cannot express how thrilled I am with the results already! I wanted to leave this early review because I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the procedure performed by Dr. Pearson - who in my opinion, has the best hands in the business of facial plastic surgery. Full stop. I am over the moon with my results already, all thanks to choosing the best surgeon and diligently following (and continuing to follow) his post-op care instructions. Immediately after the procedure, I was delighted with the initial results. By Day 2, significant swelling and asymmetry set in, which was expected but still challenging to witness. Days 3 through 5 were particularly difficult, as I found myself second-guessing my decision and worrying about the outcome – BUT only because I have PTSD from a bad experience years ago with a different surgeon for a different matter. After receiving reassurance from Dr. Pearson via email, I understood that patience is key in the recovery process. Trusting the expertise of a skilled surgeon like Dr. Pearson helped alleviate all my concerns. I don't think I've ever met a surgeon I trust more than Dr. Pearson. On Day 6, I had my first moment of relief and satisfaction, post-op, when I looked in the mirror and loved what I saw. A lot of swelling had gone down and I should see the final shape was forming. I was lucky in that I didn’t have a lot of bruising - however, I think this was down to Dr. Pearson's technique; I also made sure to ice the lips, sleep elevated and making sure I limited movement in my mouth area. Despite some remaining swelling in the philtrum area and a minuscule amount at the base of my nostrils, my lips (as of today) have achieved the subtle, conservative lift I desired. The results showcase a bit more tooth show and a nicely shaped, slightly fuller upper lip (i also have some pink showing from the under the lip - it stands out more now in a really nice way). As someone who nitpicks and worries, I am feeling my confidence start to rise. I feel like my face looks more attractive and balanced. As I’ve said, it's still early, but I am so happy with my decision and so grateful to Dr. Pearson for the way he explained everything to me in detail, answered all my questions accurately, and helped me stay positive and realistic throughout the process. Reflecting on my initial in-person consultation with Dr. Pearson, I appreciated his thoroughness and attention to detail. He answered all my questions (I had a list!) comprehensively and addressed aspects I hadn’t even considered. His recommendation for a 4mm lift, based on his extensive experience and keen aesthetic sense, proved to be perfect, even though I initially wanted to go lower. So happy I trusted his opinion on this, as Dr. Pearson’s expertise in understanding what would work best for my face to ensure harmony/balance was spot-on. The day of the surgery went smoothly, thanks in part also to the amazing and helpful staff. Dr. Pearson's warm demeanor and detailed review of the procedure at every step helped ease my nerves. The surgery itself, including the pre-surgery numbing process, was surprisingly comfortable and quick. The entire experience was one of the best I’ve had with any medical procedure. As I mentioned, I tend to be on the nervous/anxious side when it comes to things like this, but it really was a breeze. The post-operative instructions were clear, and Dr. Pearson was incredibly helpful and amiable. The pain was minimal, not even requiring the extra pain medication I was prescribed; I think I only took one, the night of the procedure - and that’s it. However this will vary on your individual case (as will the swelling/bruising I’d imagine). I would wholeheartedly choose Dr. Pearson again... and again… and again! I'll say this much: I won't need to spend that much time researching on doctors for any future facial surgery. I know what I want and I appreciate Dr. Pearson's aesthetic, which aligns perfectly with my own. His expertise, reasonable rates, and exceptional patient care are truly top-notch. He is, in my opinion, the best of the best. As if you couldn’t tell, I’m VERY HAPPY!!!! Oh, and I made my final choice in choosing Dr. Pearson (as opposed to 3 other well known, highly marketed surgeons in the US) based off of his website, where he has pages and pages of client before/afters, showcasing his extensive experience (in addition to the excellent work he does overseas) and exceptional results in facial plastic surgery. I feel so lucky and can't stop looking in the mirror now :) At this point, I’ll be managing my scar, which by the way, healed very well (I saw it briefly after suture removal), again thanks to Dr. Pearson’s hand. I have a feeling the scar will be nearly imperceptible within a year, as long as I follow his post-operative care instructions carefully. Overall, Dr. Pearson's skill and compassion as a surgeon have made a significant positive impact on my self-esteem and confidence. He is truly the best. Thank you, Dr. Pearson!!!
